According to Cloudflare, TikTok is now visited more than Google. Behind Google, are Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, YouTube, and WhatsApp, according to the company. Here’s the full list of this year’s top 10 most popular domains:

Back in September TikTok said it hit 1 billion monthly active users.“TikTok has become a beloved part of life for people around the world because of the creativity and authenticity of our creators. Our global community is remarkable in its ability to reach millions of people, across generations,” the company said in an announcement from September.
The success of the short-form video app lead to competing products from other platforms including Instagram with Reels and YouTube’s Shorts. As some online point out TikTok has overtaken these competing products with re posted TikTok videos.
“[TikTok] defaults to letting you download any video and share it wherever you please — with the app’s watermark attached. That’s fueled TikTok’s stellar growth as clips get posted to Twitter and Instagram — and drive viewers back to the app. It has spawned TikTok compilations on YouTube, and a whole culture of remixing that expands and prolongs the popularity of trending jokes and dances.” wrote TechCrunch back in April, 2020.
TikTok will at the best least become a new platform for PPC advertising, and may even disrupt Google and Facebook, who have dominated online ads for the past five years.
